Submerged heating elements in the chamber generate steam. The water in the chamber can be refilled manually or automatically.

Sensors in the chamber prevent the cycle from starting or continuing if there is insufficient water.

The door is equipped with a safety microswitch that ensures the cycle only starts when the door is properly closed and locked.

At the end of the cycle, the door is only opened when both the temperature and pressure have reached the preset safe levels.
