Solar Weaver Lab rotary furnace, 1.500°C

High temperature tubular continuous laboratory furnace has been custom engineered and built by a German company for Solar Weaver. All the inner workings are made of graphite: the tubular rotating endless vice, the heating elements. Able to process small quantities (few liters) per hour for test/simulation purposes. Was used to recrystallize complex metal compounds for the development of PV materials. Works under modified atmosphere N2 or CO2. Vacuum pump to be refurbished. In theory able to split CH4 in H2 and C (with the necessary safety precautions). Quartz tubes allow to hermetically insert thermocouples at different positions. Operated no more than 100 hours.
