BioRad MyiQ V2 iCycler Thermal Cycler Optical Module System

The Biorad iCycler is a 96-well gradient thermal cycler equipped to meet the daily demands of PCR applications with extremely reproducible quantification and excellent uniformity. This thermal cycler features built-in PCR protocols and an easy-to-use interface. The iCycler gradient accommodates 2 ml and 5 ml tubes, strips and plates, allowing for higher cycle speeds and higher throughput.

The iCycler is equipped with a MyiQ real-time detection system.

The MyiQ system has a tungsten halogen lamp as the light source. The filter-based optical design allows the use of optimal wavelengths of light for excitation and emission, resulting in excellent sensitivity and discrimination between multiple fluorophores. The CCD detector captures a simultaneous image of all 96 wells. This results in a comprehensive data set that illustrates the kinetic behavior of the data during each cycle.

Temperature: Range: 4°C to 100°C

Cycle Rate: 96 x 0.2 mL Reaction Module: With 20 μL sample in a 0.2 mL tube in the 96-well module, after full heating, when cycling between 50°C and 95°C; at least 3.3°C/sec maximum heating rate and 2.0°C/sec maximum cooling rate.

Storage Cooling: Less than 3 minutes to cool from 40°C to 4°C
