Stuart SI505 Shaking Incubator

The Stuart SI505 incubator is an incubator with an integrated shaker.

Shaking Action
The device is ideal for mixing microtiter plates due to the combination of high speed (up to 1250 rpm) and the small amplitude of 1.5 mm. The SI505 has independent speed and temperature control. The speed is controlled by a microprocessor and adjusted via the digital LED control panel. The device also includes a versatile timer, which can be set from 1 second to 9 days. Once the timer expires, an audible signal sounds and the shaking action stops, while the incubator continues to operate for safety reasons. The incubator temperature can be adjusted between ambient temperature +7°C and 60°C. Careful air distribution within the incubator ensures temperature uniformity.

Pull-Out Tray
To minimize sample evaporation, the SI505 comes with stainless steel water trays strategically placed throughout the unit to maintain a maximum humidity of 80%, dramatically reducing sample evaporation over a 24-hour period. The stainless steel tray is pull-out, providing easier access to the samples at the back of the incubator. While the incubator is in operation, the tray is securely fixed in place but can be easily removed when needed. The tray, with its anti-slip mat, can accommodate up to four microtiter plates. Tube racks suitable for all common tube diameters are also available. The SI505 also features a USB connection, allowing it to be connected to a PC for long-term monitoring of incubator temperatures, such as overnight or over weekends. This model can be optionally supplied with IQ/OQ documentation.
